Short Outtake Test

I posted this as an outtake from the reshoot diary entry post however the video no longer works. I have re-posted this piece of example footage as a test to see whether I can only upload footage after putting it through a medium like youtube.

Design ideas for the digipak

This slideshare is a PowerPoint of similar products of digipak covers that I have compiled. In this presentation, I analyse the effective qualities of real-world products and identify which I may want to extend onto my own work.

Work on the digipak begins

Work on the digipak covers begins on photoshop cs4. Here you can see the nearly complete front cover draft in the background and the back cover (which is a work in progress) - in the foreground.

Week Eighteen - Props re-distribution

An insight into a small portion of the props used (and some which never featured):

Week Seventeen

This week I have been editing the footage of my music video from both shoots. However, disaster struck mid-week, when my music video on premiere pro cs4...crashed. The footage is fine, however the editing file is refusing to work properly on my laptop. Files do not render properly and it seems to reject the music video footage from the second shoot. I have therefore vacated from cs4 to using a desktop pc which has cs5, to edit my music video. This is a hindrance, but I am grateful I have lost no work and able to continue with the editing of the music video.
Notice the red and yellow bars across the timeline above. The video is refusing to render properly and has thus forced me to migrate to another work station.

The actor release forms I have managed to procure so far, and placed in a slideshare hosting site. These are the signatures of my actors to be in my music video, needed so I have their permission to use them in my coursework.

Equipment Description

A video of me taken at school. In this video I give a brief description of the filming equipment used by me for my music video - an insight of what the production was like.

Week Sixteen - Reshooting Week

Above is a funny moment during filming.
This week I re-shot the picnic scene and the very beginning of my music video. As one of my 'nymphs', Fiona, had to take off early during the main shoot, I called her back to do some additional shots with her. Sunday's shoot was far more relaxed and worked in a much more efficient way. This was probably due to the fact there were less people and therefore less noise and distractions. It was also due to the fact that I was more accustomed to my equipment and better at directing people, I also brought my shooting folder with me, along with the storyboards so that I could refer back to them as I shot. Luckily the weather remained dry like the first night, however it was very foggy. We used this to our advantage though, as the fog proved dramatically very effective for the digipak photo-shoot I held before it got dark enough to resume filming my music video. Since the 22nd of October (the main shoot), my uncle has had many of the trees cut down in the back section of the garden. The landscape has drastically changed, however, due to good lighting techniques and camera focus, there shouldn't be too many destructive continuity errors.

Shot List for the Reshoot

The necessary scenes or additional footage to be shot on Sunday's reshoot of 'Cults' 'Oh My God''. I shall be bringing this document with me on set, so I can eliminate the completed tasks as I shoot them.

The Reshoot is Scheduled

Last time, for my main shoot I created a event and invited my actors and crew via facebook onto it. This time however, I have created a 'group page'. The members of this group are everyone involved with the main shoot and is a more direct and easier way of communicating with them, rather than also telling others who may have been invited but could not make it, about the upcoming reshoot and its details. The group is a good way for me to communicate details of the shoot and also a method for my cast and crew to contact me about any of their problems or changes. I have scheduled a reshoot for the 20th of November, which is a Sunday. I recalling around half of the cast from the main shoot, though the same crew will be present.
